Gowther adjusted his glasses and stretched up to grab a book, a cookbook to be exact. After years of eating snake and spider stew his 'father' made, a new appetite in food was a welcome change. Balancing four books in one hand, he opened the book with his free one. Using his thumb to flip through the pages, he made his way to the checkout desk.

A blonde haired guy came into the room where there was a ton of books, as he hoped that there were going to be comic books as well as cookbooks. Ever since he came, he needed to keep up with the latest stories and hamburger recipes. While looking, he saw that there was another young man reading through a book, and it looked like it was a cookbook or another book of some sort. He did not mind going for a conversation with the guy since he looked pretty cute. He got a couple of books in his hands and taps his shoulder gently with his knuckles. "Pst, dude. What kind of books are you getting? I just found a couple on these awesome hamburger recipes!" He whispers, with a cheerful tone. He loved to talk about food with other people, and now the starting conversation was making him hungry, so, his stomach was rumbling.

Gowther looked over to the blonde "Oh? I am getting some cookbooks on food from other countries and cultures." The boy's enthusiasm was odd to the magenta haired boy.

Food was defiantly on Alfred's mind right now, and he felt as though he needed a tasty hamburger right away. He heard the guy mentioning that he was getting all sorts of textbooks based on other cultures, and he smiled with glee, as he remembered his adoptive mother teaching him on how to cook as food brings happiness to the stomach. "Ah, that's totally awesome, dude! What type of food were you thinking of cooking?" He asked, with a giant smile, as though he was excited to hear what kind of food he was willing to cook and he would not mind having a cooking partner.

Gowther held up a book that had hamburgers on it "I would like to try these, but the books say that they are not very good for the body." Gowther stated and looked at the cover.

As he saw that he was holding onto a book with hamburgers on it, he felt his more drooling as thought he wanted it right now. He wanted to know if there was going to be more than one way on how to make a delicious hamburger, even other recipes. He looks at the book and was just smiling at the book. As heard that he wanted to try making a hamburger for himself, he felt his eyes glowing with excitement. "Dude, I know on how to make tasty hamburgers! They are the best in the world and they are so tasty. I just love teaching besties on how make burgers. If you want, I can teach you on how to make one. They are easy to make!" He offered, and gave him a small wink, as he wanted to help him make his favorite food with him. He heard his other comment on how burgers were bad for the body, and although it is true, he didn't care, since it's comfort food. "I know, dude. They are unhealthy, but, there as other ways to make it healthy...by putting extra lettuce and tomatoes, including the secret ingredient, ketchup!" He said, with a giant smile going upon his face. He just felt really obsessed over the food since his mother taught him that a favorite food could make anyone feel happy, including the human body getting comfort food.

"Besties?" Gowther tilted his head "Is that a familiar term, such as 'friends'?" He asked, brushing his magenta hair from his eyes. Alfred was making 'burgers' sound very good. His stomach growled...loudly.

As he heard that question regarding if the term "besties" meant, "friends", he nods. Although there was, of course more than one word to describe friends in general, Alfred was one of those people who liked to use more hipster terminology, since his mother preferred modern language. So, he nods and gives him a small wink, "that's right, my homie." He responded, and gave him another wink. As soon as he heard his stomach growling, he felt as though he wanted to go into a random kitchen in the Prep and cook them. Perhaps his dorm could have an oven as well to grill them on. "So, you starving, bro?" He asked, and now, his stomach was rumbling loudly as well. He needed those tasty burgers in his stomach. "So, bro. Would you like to start going to the nearest store to grab some cooking supplies?" He asked, with a giant grin.

"Homie?" These words were new to Gowther, as his father had never used such language, and he rarely, if at all, interacted with others on the Isle "I am not 'starving', but I am hungry. As long as it is not snake and spider stew." If he had to eat that again, he would be sick.. His father never cooked anything else, and Gowther had always felt repulsed at it. But it was either eat that, or go hungry "What am I to get?"

As he saw the guy questioning on the word "homie", he gave out a small grin. "Yeah, homie! As best buddies!" He said, and puts an arm around his shoulder playfully. "Yup! You and me will be the best of homies!" He said, and gave him a small wink again. He could tell that he was hungry, so, Alfred would not mind cooking with him. "Hm, I'm starving bro. Let's make some tasty burgers!" He exclaimed, softly but with enthusiasm. Now, he was craving for that fast food. "Homie, let's go to my place for some burgers! They are super, super filling!" He said, hoping that he will like them. "You and I will be the best cooks!" He said, and pats his shoulders.

Gowther was excited to try burgers, but his usual demeanor didn't show it "Best buddies, huh? That sounds nice." His stomach growled "Let's please." He smiled "But I can't deny that I've never cooked before, so it may not turn out well."

As Alfred saw that he was excited to try some food with him, he smiled with glee. He looked up at him and looked glad that he was able to get along with him easily as Alfred learned on how to get along with people easily with others, thanks to Joy. He heard him mentioning that being best buddies with him sounded good. "Yes, being buds with you is awesome. I know we just met, but, you sound awesome-o." He commented, with a giant smile and hugs him around the waist. He can tell from his face that he was excited to try out the burgers, as Alfred was excited to help out with the food. "Do not worry, I'll show you on how to make the burgers taste great that you would want to have them twenty-four seven!" He exclaimed, with a giant smile. "We'll do them together, you and me!"

Gowther's stomach grumbled louder "Then, if we shall, shall we hurry." Gowther tilted his head "Awesome-o." He repeated to himself. Gowther was learning so many new words from his new friend. When Alfred hugged around his waist, he felt his cheeks heat up. He placed a hand to his forehead, wondering if he got sick.

His stomach was growling himself, willing to grab some hamburgers right off the shelf right about now, but they were not near a kitchen. They were in a library reading up on how to cook hamburgers, but they were actually not getting anything in particular to cooking up anything, even though he was claiming to get himself a juicy, tasty burger. He heard the magenta haired man mentioned that they had to get the books right away, in order to do the actual cooking. He never felt this excited to teach him on how to do some hamburger making, and gave out a giant smile. He quickly checked out the books for the both of them so, they can end up going to his room so, they both can cook together, as he was ready to try out the many recipes of Auradon. He was not sure of what the results could be, but time will tell for the results. He then heard the young man repeating the word "Awesome-o" and he felt as though this young man was catching up to the popular catch phrases really quickly, which is a good sign. Once they do cook together, there will be more than just that one catch phrase, which will be good since he does like to teach others catch-phrases. He could tell that he was really yearning to learn more, and that is what Alfred was there for. As the arm was around his waist, he did notice that Gowther was blushing, and he did give out a small smile, seeing this as a good reaction, and even thought it was really cute as well. "Aw, I have to say, you look really cute when you blush like that." He complimented; he then saw him putting a hand on his forehead, and he slowly took back his own hand and puts it near the side of his own waist, hoping that he was doing alright. "You ok, dude?" He asked, raising an eyebrow in concern.

Gowther removed his hand from his forehead "My face heated up and I wanted to be sure I was not getting a fever." He noticed Alfred raise an eyebrow in concern. Had he done something wrong with that gesture? Did he miss something? "I feel fine though, so I am curious of what happened." He was completely unaware that his face heating up meant he was blushing. He turned to Alfred "But forget about that, I'll check these books out real quick and be right back." He hurried to the librarian's desk, checking the books out.
