Background: Kise comes from a forest where she and her family of spirits lived. One time the spirits and humans lived in harmony, but people started to go against the forest, cutting down trees for paper and other objects, forcing animals to hide away and people started to forget about the spirits. Totoro kept his relationships with the outside world and loved sharring magic to little kids who were special. Kise wanted to share in tese emotions and bonds. She decided to make a friend with a little girl who was very ill. Thinking she could perhaps give the girl some happiness. Kise and the little girl grew close.

Time passed. Seasons turned to seasons and Kise shared a very happy time with her family and the little girl. She was actually happy, but the girls illness took toll and she died. Kise wanted the girl to live. She wanted her to grow as strong as a tree, but she died. Kise was left heartbroken and slowly began to not speak to anyone, but her father and her family and those she began to talk. Totoro wanted his daughter to be happy again. So he decided to go visit the fairy godmother and tell her about his daughter. She was admitted to the school in hopes that she will finally make some friends and learn how to trust humans again.

Personality: Kise is a very shy girl with a big heart. She seems to be a bit of a crybaby, crying at the slightest nudge. She is very modest and very sweet, never would hurt a fly. To those who earn her trust, she would often hug them, when she feels like it. She is very passionate. Loves art, crafts, and reading. She is very bubbly to those who gets to know her.

Kise is a selective mute which means she can talk, just chooses not to. She's actually a bit scared to do it to people she doesn't trust. It takes time.
