Background: Pearl was raised by the Blue Fairy who taught her about magic. It became Pearl's passion and she spent everyday learning all that she could so she could become like her mother. Though she allowed this passion to keep herself cooped up inside the library and she never interacted with others.
One day, her mother came and told her that it was time for her to go out in the world and grant people's wishes. Pearl told her that she didn't need to do that, that there was so much more that she wanted to learn. How could granting wishes help her? That is when the Blue Fairy told her the truth...that Pearl was not her daughter.
Pearl's real mother was the Enchantress, a fairy who was disgusted so much by human nature that she took it upon herself to punish them for their sins. But all that change when her mother feel in love with a human and when it came time for Pearl to be born, the Enchantress gave up her physical form so Pearl could live.
Pearl became furious, asking why Blue hadn't told her sooner but she didn't stay long enough to hear the answer. While having some alone time, Pearl heard a distant voice wishing in the night and followed it all the way to Auradon.
How they got into Auradon Prep: The Blue Fairy enrolled Pearl at the school so she could learn how to interact with others.
Personality: Pearl is asocial, prefering to spend time with her nose deep in a book then hanging out with others. Pearl tries to be rational in unframiluar situations, though she can lose her cool under stress. Pearl takes to heart the phrase, "A place for everything and everything in it's place" and is a tad OCD. When she does interact with others, she tends to be a bit awkward. Pearl also has a fondness of butterscotch.
