"And for my next trick," Schmendrick made a green ball appear out of the palm of his hand and he began to juggle it, soon it became two, then three and four. The younger students who had gathered around him clapped as they watched him juggle ten balls at once. Schmendrick soon stopped moving his hands but the balls continued to spin around in a pinwheel, several ooo's escaped the younger student's lips. 'Now for the best part.' Schmendrick flipped up in the air and with a puff of smoke disapeared. The younger students looked around trying to find him, until one of them noticed a pair of shoes sticking out from one of the bushes. Schmendrick poked his head out and smiled at them, the other students laughed. He clapped his hands and all the balls shot though the air, Schmendrick took off his hat and caught all the balls in it. The younger students cheered, which made Schmendrick really happy. It felt good making children smile. He took a bow and tried to hop out of the bush, but ended up tripping and falling to the ground. The children laughed at him, "If you liked that wait until you see what I have planned next."

"No," Pearl reached the last page of her book and closed the book in frustration, "Not that one either." She just didn't understand it, not a single lead to who Steven's parents might be. It was as if somehow...he had been erased from history? Pearl shook her head, no that couldn't be it. Maybe she wasn't looking in the right places, so far she had covered most of the main kingdoms that made Auradon up but maybe she should be looking beyond Auradon. Maybe Steven's parents weren't even in Auradon...the sound of laughter caught her attention. She looked up to see a group of younger students had gather by the school steps, in the middle of them appeared to be some sort of street magician. Oh boy, maybe she should try to find another way around. The last thing that she needed to see was someone making a mockery of her craft. But the closer that she got the more curious she got, who was this strange boy who performed for children outside a school?
