Puck was lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling above him, lost in thought. It had been awhile since Puck had first showed up at Auradon Prep and in all that time, he had not had the unique pleasure of having a roommate. However, that was about to change. He had received a letter a few days ago from the administration that he would be sharing the room with another boy named Oliver and that his new roommate would be arriving within the next few days. When he had first read the letter, Puck wasn't sure how to feel. He still wasn't. He was used to being alone and the last time he had shared a room with someone was........well, a long time ago and that had been in more romantic sense than 'roommate'. "It could be fun." Puck decided. At the very least, he would always have an easy prank target.

As he was walking down the hallways to his dorm-room, his pet bear was clinging onto his shoulder. "Fine, you can stay with me. As long as you don't try to scratch up the pillow cases." He said to the bear, with a pet going onto his head. He smiles at the bear and the bear jumps up onto the floor and starts to run. He grumbled a little as he was running after his pet, as he had no idea what got into him this evening; his bear ran off to the the room where he is staying at and he just remembered that he has a room-mate. He just hoped that his roomie does not mind him playing guitar and having a hyper pet bear. As he got into the room, he sees a person, which assumed to be his roommate lying on a bed, and he waves towards him with a small grin. "Um, hello there!" He waved... and then the bear jumps onto the other guy's bed and sniffs him. "Whoa little guy. Sorry about my pet. He tends to be too friendly when it comes to meeting people." He apologizes softly and rubs the back of his neck in a shy manner. He then tries to settle his bear down by giving him some marshmallows and honey and he puts his belongings away.

Suddenly, a voice interrupted Puck's musings and he looked up from his comfortable position on his bed. He was about to greet his new roommate when a tiny, energetic furball jumped onto his bed and started sniffing him. Surprised, Puck raised an eyebrow and stared at the baby bear. Well that was definitely unexpected. "Hello, there little fella." Puck said, grinning at the tiny furball. He couldn't help wondering if the tiny bear noticed his half-animal smell or sensed if he was not completely human.
"Eh, no worries. It's not the first time I've been nearly mauled by someone's overexcited pet." Puck said as he sat up and crossed his legs. The curious red-head didn't move from his bed and just watched the other boy intensely. "So where do you hail from?" Puck asked, curious to find out if he was stuck with an Auradon preppy hero or a misunderstood kid villain.

As soon as Oliver was was packing away, he saw that his roommate seemed friendly enough to other animals, and Oliver, of course is an animal lover. He saw that his pet bear was sniffing him and as the bear heard the friendly voice, the animal smiles and rubs against the guy's hand. It loved to meet new people, especially other animal lovers. The bear tried its hardest to grin and it was just being happy at the moment. As soon as the bear was putting out its favorite treat, the bear climbs down and eats the marshmallows and honey with a giant smile. Oliver, hearing that his roommate was cool with his hyperactive pet, felt as though his nervousness was going away, and felt glad. He heard the guy asking him on where he was from originally before coming to Auradon. It was a pretty long story, but, he knew to trust this guy for him to listen. "Well, first of all, my name is Oliver. Before I came here, I did grow up with, two mothers. One who abandoned me since, I guess she was too busy to take care of me I suppose.." After saying that statement, he rolls his eyes. "I, then was raised by my second adoptive mother who kept on telling me that everything was evil and trusted me to do all bad things, like, I don't know...stealing. She and I were doing nothing but argue all the time, so, she heard about this school and told me to go the Isle." He felt sweat drops coming down his face as he was talking since this was a lot to tell. "I, personally hate it at the Isle since it was pretty crummy so, I decided to come here instead." He quickly grabbed a water bottle from the fringe and drank it since it was a heck lot of talking which turned into a giant vent.

Puck didn't say anything but listened carefully as Oliver half explained, half vented his family history. The redhead remained thoughtful as he watched his roommate chug a bottle of water. "Stealing is a bad thing? Huh, no one ever told me that." Puck said in mock surprise and confusion.
Rolling onto his stomach, Puck reached down and began scratching the bear cub behind the ears. "I went to the Isle of the Lost once. I found it quite cheery. Such a wonderful sense of desperation and rebellious ambition." Puck said with an obviously fake sense of happiness. After a moment, Puck's face became rather thoughtful. "Seriously though, I think good and evil are merely points of view. They don't exist as real concepts because all they are just opinions, strategies of how to live. So they don't really matter in the grand scheme of things." Puck paused and looked up a Oliver, grinning. "Basically, that's just a long winded way of saying if you don't want to be a Lost kid, don't. If you don't want to be evil, don't be. Your mom will accept it eventually or not. Doesn't matter though, you have to decide your own life strategy."

As he saw that Puck did not say anything to him at first, Oliver was just glad that he was actually listening to him, since telling something related to a family history and venting simutamously would require a lot of explanation. It was one of those things that he needed to get out of his chest since his story was a sad one indeed. As much as he personally hated to tell it, at the same time, he was actually feeling that he was able to get it out instead of holding everything inside and not telling at all. As he was chucking down his water, he did get a sad thought in his head, as though he was questioning to himself as to why his mother pressured him to be evil and do criminal like things. He did hear a question regarding stealing being a bad thing and he just quickly nods his head. "Yes, it is bad. It's a way of showing greed, and my mother was pressuring me to give stealing a chance. I only did it, once and I right away gave back what I stole. You may think this one sounds silly, but, I actually stole some water from a lake right near my home. I felt bad for the fishes, so, I put it back into the water so, the fishes can live. Sure, my mother got angry after that, but I need to tell her what she suggested was wrong." He said, with a small huff and took another drink. He was listening to this guy's experience about going into tut isle and it sounded as thought it was not as bad as it seemed when he first visited there. He, still personally hated it, except for the cool buildings and architecture, as he remembered the place looking unsafe. He then heard the guy mentioning that good and evil are different from one another, and that was obviously true; picking one's way on how to live is up to the individual, whether the person becomes criminal minded or having a good, cherished life. He nods his head, as though he was agreeing with everything he is saying and he even made a good point. "Wow. Good point you have there, I wish my mother would understand that." He said, as he slowly lowers his head down, as he was deep in thought, and even hoped one day, his mom would get the point that good vs evil are opinions and not just forcing words. As mentioned that he can have his own choice on being good or bad, he nods his head and slowly starts to feel better about things. He smiles at Puck and gave him a thankful smile. "Thank you very much for your input on this, as I am sick and tired of my mother going on and on about evil being the best way to go." He said, with a small sigh, and hopefully one day, his mother would come to terms in him choosing his own path. Meanwhile, when the bear was getting pet behind its ears, he purred softly and happily uses its head to rub against his hands.
