Near sat in a chair, reading a book of Edgar Allen Poe. He enjoyed the dark literature. Looking up, he noticed his brother in the library as well. Holding his book higher so as to be left alone, he continued to read.

Lelouch walk around the room. "Maybe if you didn't hold the book so high people would think that you're somewhat normal" said Lelouch as he pulled a book off the shelf.

Near looked up at his brother "I don't care if they think I'm normal or not." He continued to hold to book.

"Of course you don't but father mentioned that you should try" Lelouch give his neither a quick looked as he place the book back. "Care of a game of chess" asked Lelouch.

Near did enjoy chess. Closing his book, he nodded "I suppose a game wouldn't hurt."

Lelouch toke a seat next to him as he set up his side with the black chess pieces. He handed his brother the white pieces as he waited for his turn.

Near set up the white pieces, putting them in their proper places. He then started the game "Your turn."

(That okay) Lelouch watch his brother move the pawn. "Boring with all their's rules about being good" Lelouch was never one to follow rules.
